Bernard Flythe Appointed as Artist Faculty in Tuba and Euphonium

The Joyce and Henry Schwob School of Music is delighted to announce the appointment of Bernard H. Flythe as Artist Faculty in Tuba and Euphonium. Mr. Flythe has taught at Kennesaw State University, Appalachian State University, Emory University, University of Georgia, and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He holds a Master of Music degree in Performance and Specialist Certificate in Performance from The University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He currently serves as Substitute Tubist for the Atlanta and LaGrange Symphony Orchestras and has served as Tuba and Euphonium instructor for the Atlanta Chamber Music Festival since 2013. Mr. Flythe has also served for over a decade as Low Brass Sectionals Coach in various high schools throughout Georgia. We are excited to welcome Mr. Flythe to Schwob!
