Graduate
School Acceptances
David Baker, double bass, will be pursuing a Master
of Music degree in jazz studies at the University of Northern Colorado where he
has been awarded a full graduate teaching assistantship.
Alissa Castro-Lawicki, percussion, was awarded a Teaching
Assistantship at the University of South Carolina, Columbia for her Master's Degree
in Percussion Performance.
Joel
Castro, percussion, was awarded a Teaching Assistantship at both
North Texas University and Indiana University for his Master's Degree in
Percussion Performance. He will be attending Indiana in the fall.
Alex
Clay, flute, will be
attending Illinois State University to pursue a Master of Music in Flute
Performance on a full scholarship plus stipend as a graduate assistant.
Zoltan
Csikos, cello, has been accepted to the University of Illinois
Champaign-Urbana to pursue his doctoral degree.
Samantha Dubois,
voice, accepted into Master of Music in Vocal Performance programs
at University South Carolina, Converse College, University of Georgia, and
Mercer University. She will be attending USC as a graduate assistant
in opera.
Sarah Figueroa, violin, accepted for Masters of Music studies at University of
North Carolina at Greensboro, University of Maryland, and University of North
Texas, which she will be attending.
Ryan Fox, bassoon, will enter the Master's program in multiple wind performance at the University of South Carolina.
Christian Gordon, trumpet, will
be pursuing a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance at the University of South
Carolina as teaching assistant.
Likai He, violin, accepted with full scholarship at
Yale School of Music and at Shepherd School of Music at Rice University.
He will be attending Rice University.
Kyung
"David" Jang, conductor,
will attend the Master of Music Program in Orchestral Conducting at Indiana
University on a full scholarship. He is one of only two Master of Music in
Orchestral Conducting students accepted at Indiana for next year.
Thomas Mohr,
violin, accepted for Artist
Diploma studies at Schwob School of Music/Columbus State University
Valeriya Nedviga, violin, accepted for Masters of Music studies at Carnegie
Mellon, University of Northern Colorado, University of Massachusetts at Amherst
and Schwob School of Music/Columbus State University. She will attend
University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where she received a graduate
assistantship with full tuition scholarship and stipend.
Mary Margaret Neel,
violin, accepted to Masters of Music in
Performance programs at Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, University of
Georgia, and Denver University. She will be attending Denver University's
Lamont School of Music as a teaching assistant.
Teeraboon Paisarn, percussion, was accepted to the University of
Miami doctoral program in Percussion Performance.
Ashley Seldon, voice, accepted into Master of Music in
Vocal Performance programs at Temple University, Colorado
State University at Fort Collins, and Southern Methodist University. She
will be attending SMU with both a scholarship and assistantship.
Andrew Smith, trumpet and composition, will be pursuing a Master of Music in Composition degree as a
composition teaching assistant at Bowling Green State University, OH.
Nathaniel
Thomas, voice, accepted into Master of Music in Vocal
Performance programs at the Schwob School of Music, the Manhattan School
of Music, and Colorado State University at Fort Collins. He has chosen to
attend the Schwob School of Music and pursue the Master of Music in Performance.
