Schwob School of Music to host National Trumpet Competition in 2016

The Schwob School of Music and Columbus State University will host the 25th Annual National Trumpet Competition in 2016 during Spring Break. According to Dennis Edelbrock, Executive Director and founder of NTC, this will be only the second time that the event has been held away from its home of NTC in Fairfax, Virginia. Mr. Edelbrock has secured a Public Broadcasting grant to produce a documentary about the competition and its effect on the careers of so many performers - a great deal of the footage for this production will be shot right here in Columbus. Congratulations to Dr. Rob Murray on bringing this national event to Columbus State! For more information: http://www.nationaltrumpetcomp.org/pages/page.asp?page_id=204908
